Global Disaster Relief Fund

Help victims of Local, National and Global Disasters.

The Jewish Federation of Broward County joins our global Jewish community in response to unfolding catastrophes caused by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, and the recent earthquakes.

In Mexico, major earthquakes have killed hundreds of people and destroyed buildings. Aftershocks are wreaking more havoc.

In Puerto Rico and across the Caribbean, millions are living through tremendous difficulty following Hurricane Maria’s landfall. Communications, water and electrical services have been severely affected. People are waiting desperately for assistance.

In South Florida, Hurricane Irma brought devastation to the Keys and significant damage to Florida and other parts of the southeast. Many of Broward’s most vulnerable populations were left without power for days.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of them and their families.

Federation partners with the Jewish and general communities in each of the affected areas to assess the needs of local residents and institutions, and to quickly mobilize emergency relief and recovery resources.

To assist those in need, we have opened two funds:

•    Hurricane Irma Fund to address needs of those affected in South Florida
•    National and Global Disaster fund to address needs in communities outside of South Florida

One hundred percent of all contributions will be directed to assist victims of the disaster relief fund(s) you designate. Please SELECT ONE OR BOTH of the disaster fund(s) relief efforts you wish to support and designate how much you are contributing to each. If donating via check please mail to the Jewish Federation of Broward County 5890 South Pine Island Road, Davie, FL 33328.

For assistance, you may call 954-252-6900.
