DISCOVER ISRAELI ARTISTS WITH THE AMERICA-ISRAEL CULTURAL FOUNDATION
The America-Israel Cultural Foundation has long history of partnering with the Jewish Federations to bring Israeli art into communities across the United States and Canada. This month's artist spotlight is on Uri Gurvich, a talented saxophonist and composer who has been called “a new major voice in jazz”. (More about Uri.)
With its recently launched International Events Calendar and fast-growing Israeli Artist Network, the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) is quickly becoming the premier online guide to Israeli artists and arts events worldwide. AICF’s International Calendar makes it easy to find Israeli events in your community. Its Artist Network already features media-rich profiles of more than five hundred Israeli artists, and will soon include information on thousands more. The AICF staff is also well versed in the latest happenings in Israeli culture, so if there is anything you don’t yet see online, just ask us about it.
From art exhibits to elegant dance, extraordinary classical music to innovative underground jazz, there are hundreds of Israeli cultural events occurring throughout the United States and Canada every month, many of them sponsored by AICF.
Recent U.S. events featuring Israeli artists include:
AICF has been the lifeblood of Israeli arts and culture for more than seven decades, and has helped to establish Israel as one of the world’s richest resources for artistic talent. The thousands of artists who have benefited from AICF scholarships and other resources now work everywhere in the world—and they share the vibrancy of their Jewish heritage wherever they go.
