Why the Jewish Federation?
Do you know someone who has lost a job or is struggling to pay rent and put food on the table every month? Do you know someone who is caring for a relative with Alzheimer's or has a child with special needs? The Jewish Federation of Broward County supports over 30 agencies that assist individuals when they need it the most. Money raised from the Annual Campaign is distributed each year to help address the most pressing needs of Jewish communities locally and in Israel. moreAnnual Campaign Giving Levels
There is a variety of giving levels that demonstrate your support for the future of our Jewish community. Each gift is a pledge which can be paid monthly, quarterly or annually. All pledges for the 2013 campaign year must be made by June 30, 2013 and are payable by December 31, 2013. Many companies match their employees’ charitable contributions; check to see if your employer does and the combined gift can move you to a higher giving level!
$5,000 – National Young Leadership Cabinet – Participate with other young leaders from across the United States in a specially designed leadership program developed by the Jewish Federations of North America. Attend a yearly retreat to hone your leadership skills and learn from extraordinary speakers about the issues facing Jewish communities worldwide. Interact with young professionals who will be leading the Jewish community into the future. Locally, be part of a group of outstanding Cabinet alumni and help shape the Jewish Federation of Broward County. Female donors are invited to the annual Lion of Judah luncheon and proudly wear the Lion of Judah pin.
$1,000 – Ben Gurion Society (BGS) – This prestigious giving level enables you to attend special BGS gatherings throughout the year, including the BGS Major Donors Event in the Spring, as well as the Federation’s Community Campaign Celebration. All donors are also eligible to attend Federation Business & Professions networking events. Female donors may attend Women’s Philanthropy Morasha and Shomer Event and are entitled to wear the lovely Morasha pin.
“Step Up to Ben Gurion Society” (BGS)- A program where donors can become members of the Ben Gurion Society over a three year period while enjoying the benefits of BGS membership along the way described above. Just make an initial gift of $500 in year one, increase to $750 in year two and to $1000 in year three, while attending all the special BGS events during the entire three years!
$500 – Broward Young Leadership – This important giving level is the minimum gift for those participating in the Horizons Leadership Program. All donors at this level will be invited to attend Business & Professions networking events and can attend the Community Campaign Celebration as part of Young Leadership.
$365 – A-Dollar-A-Day Campaign – As a donor at this level you demonstrate your commitment to the Jewish community in Broward County as we strive to improve the lives of Jews in Broward, Israel and around the world.
BGS is a national organization for all donors, ages 21-40, who make a family gift of $1,000 or participate in ‘Step Up’. This group of philanthropists is recognized at special events throughout the year. Click here for a list of our current Ben Gurion Society members.
