Mission
To develop, provide and promote educational opportunities that instill, within each and every member of Broward County Jewry, Jewish knowledge and commitment to Jewish values and heritage.
Objectives/Services
In order to fulfill Orloff CAJE's mission statement, it builds on three principles:
* That Jewish education is the major vehicle by which we secure a vibrant Jewish community for future generations.
*That Jewish education is a lifelong endeavor encompassing young and old alike.
*That an effective Jewish educational system can be achieved only through coordinated and collaborative efforts among and between the community's institutions, agencies and concerned individuals.
In order to adhere to these principles and meet the critical needs of our community, Orloff CAJE provides numerous outstanding quality Jewish educational programs and services in three major areas:
Youth Services - Judaica High School, The March of the Living Panim El Panim Washington Leadership Institute, Ruth E. Cohan Akiva Leadership Program, Council of Youth Directors
School & Teacher Services - Lillian & David Frank Teacher Resource Center, Lu Kaplan Teacher Professional Development Program, Day School Funding, Synagogue School Consultation, Special Education
Adult & Family Education - Florence Melton Adult Mini-School, Ruth E. Cohan Jewish Book Review Series, Ruth E. Cohan Winter Hostel, Melton Summer Film Institute, Jewish Lecture Series, Orloff CAJE at Sea Cruise
Inherent in Orloff CAJE's philosophy and vision is the notion that we are partners in our endeavors with the community's educational institutions and communal agencies, constantly expanding our services as the needs arise. We expect to strengthen and expand these partnerships so as to secure a vibrant and flourishing Jewish community for future generations.
